After his Sony laptop battery died, he was appalled to be informed that the batteries have no any warranty whatsoever.
Mr W felt miffed by the apparent suggestion, "I should a be a good little Sony consumer and be grateful for their 3 month "gesture of goodwill" !? This for a Sony laptop that costs upwards of £1200+VAT..."
"Batteries don't die suddenly, unless they are faulty, notes Mr W.
Luckily, of course, it didn't explode.

Sony do not offer guarantee on the battery, as it is a consumable item. It is subject to wear and tear not covered by the manufacturers warranty. Usually as a gesture of goodwill we offer 3 months warranty on the battery.
