CD stimulation prompts hard drive simulation

In the beginning was the CD
Tue Jan 20 2004, 09:18
IN THE BEGINNING Sony created the CD, and it was good. And then the harlotry of the game companies decreed that the CD must be in the drive to be played. Then came BlindWrite and it cast down the image of golden CD upon the depths of the hard drive. And the CD resided upon the hard drive.

Lo, and the Daemon Tools rose up from the depths and said, “Yeah, and I shall simulate multiple CD drives and load the CD image upon it.”

And the hard drive manufacturers rejoiced because of the many gigabytes that were consumed. And behold, the gamers of the land rejoiced because the games ran faster and did not require the CD.

And any that add to or take away from this article shall have his hard drive infested with plagues of bad sectors. ยต
