ANAND HAS MANAGED to get hold of three different Centrino notebooks. Are they cool? Are they hip? Are they funky? You betcha!

OK, OK, we normally only point to smaller sites but we hope you can forgive us just this once. We won't do it again until we do it the next time. Promise. Today is Intel Centrino day so we just had to leap on this review of an Acer TravelMate 803 LCI too.

Just when Nvidia thought all of its problems with Nforce 2 were over, along comes the SoundStorm fiasco. Adrian's Rojak Pot gives you the low down. But is this the only problem with Nforce 2 sound? Stay tuned.

AMDBoard goes into some depth on the new Via KN400 chipset for mobile Athlons.

Just how far can you push an Athlon XP 2600+ before it breaks? Jeffrey over at AMDZone managed to get the 2.133GHz processor up to 2.66GHz before bottling out.

The new Intel Spingdale 800Mhz bus chipset is starting to show itself and its powers. X-bit Labs delves into just how good it is.

Lars over at Tom's Hardware has been taking a look at the lower end of the Geforce FX series. Unless you're playing the very latest DirectX 9 based games [cough], you might find that a Ti4200 will do just as well.

Lastly, some peace and quiet. SilentPCReview has a gander and a listen to some of the less noisy cases you can get for your money. ยต
