DURING THE AFTERNOON mobility keynote at IDF, there was a mobile Nehalem platform mentioned. We got a little up close and personal time with the board, and here it is.

Quad Nehalems for your laptop

The board is called Calpella, first talked about last spring, and it combines the Clarskfield quad-core CPU with the Ibex Peak I/O hub. Other than that, not much more to say, it is early silicon, it runs, boots Windows, and will be out in 2H/09.

Start saving your coins now, kiddies. µ

You may have been joking but...

I am saving for a new laptop, and should have enougth by the time these are out. In fact i'm refusing to get one unless its a calpella :-)
