Chaintech apes Corsair

WE'RE USED to seeing computer hardware companies 'take inspiration' from the products of their competitors, and poor old Corsair appears to have designs that inspire its rivals.

The California company makes a living out of memory modules, and consequently goes to a lot of effort to make its high-end components more interesting than your average memory. And let's face it, that's a pretty tough job, given how dull memory is.

So we've seen blinking lights and LCD readouts, and more recently, a fancy new extruded heatsink design with better cooling properties for overclocking, sported by the firm's new Dominator series.

Well, at Computex this year, you can check out the Chaintech Apogee GT memory which looks, er, 'reminiscent' of that Corsair design. Doesn't it? µ
