THE SHARE PRICE of AMD fell by $1.05 on the NYSE yesterday, while an ATI representative "declined to comment" on continuing speculation it might be acquired by Chimpzilla.

ATI's own shares (tick: ATYT) fell by 11 cents on the NASDAQ market, while bitter rival Nvidia (tick: NVDA) was down 84 cents to a humble $18.53. Seems undervalued to us.

The mighty Intel took a knock with its shares falling by over two per cent to close at $18.18.

Meanwhile Microsoft (tick: MSFT) bucked the trend, up 20 cents to shut at $23.50.

Google (tick: GOOG) was down $2.25 to finish at $418.20, while ever volatile Rambus (tick: RMBS) was down 98 cents at $22.83. The share price that suffers frantic mood swings stood at $46.99 in April, and $10.22 in February of this year.

Hewlett Packard (tick: HPQ) fell by 92 cents to stand at $31.93, while IBM was up 25 cents at $76.67.

Dell fell by 39 cents to close at $23.48 while Sun Microsystems (tick: SUNW) was down nine cents to finish the day at a very modest $3.82. µ
