It'll take an age to get here, though

RUMOUR CONTROL HAS gone into overdrive surrounding upcoming and much anticipated RTS Age of Empires III with the demo reportedly finished and simply awaiting the go-ahead from the publisher.

According to this AoE Heaven Games forum post the demo is done, weighing in at approximately 375MB and containing two single player scenarios, two random maps and two civilizations to play.

A multiplayer demo may follow, but for now this offering looks set to be single player only. The game is due in October, and this demo being ready for release would seem to back up the fact that developer Ensemble will deliver on time. For now all we can do is wait for the publisher to get its marketing socks on to release the demo. µ
