Vole blamed
Wed Jul 23 2008, 12:11

YAHOO'S ATTEMPT to fight off a hostile Vole look like they've taken a a toll on its profits.

The embattled outfit saw profit for the second quarter fall 19 per cent to £66 millon ($131 million), down from £81 millon ($161million) in Q2 last year.

Revenue was up six per cent to £900 million, ($1.8billion) in the quarter compared to the same period last year.

The firm said it spent some £11 million on lawyers and advisors, trying to keep the Vole from the door.

If they'd have asked, we'd have done it for half that. And in far fewer words.

The firm also has to scrabble around to find the dosh to pay more board members after fat-wad Carl Icahn muscled his way into the board room. µ
