ATI INTRODUCED X300 cards with Hyper Memory yesterday but no one has seen any of the cards yet.

We asked around and learned that not even the loyal NDA press saw any of the cards and ATI either doesn't want to make any noise about them or simply doesn't have enough cards to start with.

We know that system integrators got these cards a few weeks ago but it seems that ATI wants to ship them in machines and possibly later make some noise in retail about them.

Nvidia used a different approach with its 6200Turbo cache cards being available and will cost $10 more and Nvidia made a big deal that you can buy them in retail. I guess Nvidia will also end up in many system integrator machines as well.

ATI is supposed to sell its cards for $59 in US and we checked European shops and found out that you can buy those cards for €61, still significantly higher than the US price but in EU case with VAT in the price.

I guess we will see those cards at CeBIT but we wonder when we are going to be able to buy them. That's the real question now. µ
