MICROSOFT thinks that it will have sorted out the supply problems on the Xbox 360 in a couple of months.

SpokesVole Peter Moore told hacks at DICE that within the next four to six weeks everyone will be able to walk into a store and buy an Xbox 360. If they want one of course. He admitted that there had been some "short-term shortages" mostly due to component shortages which have now been fixed.

Poor Moore seems to have a few problems with his PR phrases. For example he said that everything was "starting to cook" on the distribution front. But to users of the Xbox 360 'cooking' might remind them of the Xbox's overheating problem.

He also said that the Xbox is the "The Sundance of independent games." So you have the illusion there death in a final frozen frame as the credits roll.
