WITH CHRIMBO APPROACHING the startling shortage of Nintendo's Wii console is on minds of parents and gadget fans everywhere. But if you can't come up with a Wii, why not go retro Nintendo with this wooden SNES mod?
One cunning engineer has managed to take an old Super Nintendo, hook it up to a portable PSOne backlit display and slammed a controller all into a Gamegear-sized wooden case.
It certainly looks the business and whilst it might not be quite as portable as Nintendo's own DS, you can relive the old SNES classics - including Ocarina of Time and Starfox - anywhere you happen to have a stash of big grey cartridges.

Gee..Dont we all just love "Ocarina of Time" on the SNES!
That was an N64 game ...
Yeah, lets all relive Ocarina of Time on our SNES.

Oh wait, we can't. Because it's a Nintendo 64 game.

Still, great article and a great machine.
As previously commented, ocarina of time was for the N64, the snes version was titled: A Link to the Past. I never played the earlier versions but the snes installment is my favourite one. Later it was re-released on the gameboy advanced, but they added a most annoying sound when you use your sword, instead of a satisfying swish you hear the sound form the n64 versions, bah =|
was the side-scroller, then it sucked.

worst zelda game I ever played.
The mentioned side scrolling Link game was
The Adventures of Link for the original NES
The side version of Zelda did not suck. They game was a lot of fun.

Go point by point why Zelda II sucked, I really want to hear it.

What are we going to hear next from you? Castlevania I sucked?

In fact, if Metroid, Kid Icarus, Zelda II, etc, all sucked so bad, I sure wish they would make those sucky games again instead of the eye-candy crap gamplay stuff they make today.

And for the record, StarFox SUCKED, the control of the polygon piece of crap spaceplane was like driving a submarine in reverse through vaseline.
