Bizkit sues websites for $80 million

How the cookie crumbles

LEAD SINGER of the popular beat combo Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst is suing web-sites that post video clips of him canoodling with his ex-girlfriend.

The former tatoo artist wants more than $80 million from sites that run the movie. He said that hackers stole the video from his hard drive and it was never intended to be seen.

Gawker, which ran a link to the movie, is one of the sites being sued. The company told the New York Daily News that they took down the link three days before they heard from Durst.

Gawker said it didn't understand why they were being sued as they complied. The Daily News suggests that it might have something to do with them referring to Durst as having less than impressive equipment, it doesn't mention what brand of instrument he plays so we can't work out what that means.

On his web site, Fred tells us that he is a misunderstood soul: "I play up the pimp thing on purpose. Like, when I'm on MTV, these chicks are fanning and massaging me. It's not like I attracted ‘em off the street. We f****** hired 'em. I want everybody to be thinking I'm having the time of my life, but I'm single and miserable. I'm lonely. I'm experiencing the best things in my life, with no one there to share them. I'm a hopeless romantic...

"...who films his girlfriend having sex with him and then stores it on his computer. Who says romance is dead. More here. ยต
