Out of the dozens of available flavours of Linux, it tends to be the ones with the support of hardware and software developers which stand out from the crowd. So this could be a massive turning point for Ubuntu, elevating it to the heady heights (and commercial rewards) enjoyed by the likes of Red Hat and Novell.
