Google money man retires

SEARCH ENGINE outfit Google will lose its chief financial officer who is retiring by the end of the year at the ripe old age of 53.

Google is not saying why George Reyes, the company's CFO since 2002, has decided to go. It is also not letting any hack near him to ask.

Reyes said he was leaving the company in good hands with a remarkable team of professionals that will continue to build on Google's tremendous achievements.

There was also praise in the press release from Google Chairman Eric Schmidt who said the outfit would "miss his thoughtfulness, good humour and wisdom."

Google does not seem to have any problems. Its Stock price and profits have soared. Most likely he is just going to retire and spend all that dosh he has earned without the stress of working.
