IDF daily video round-up Part 3

IDF San Francisco Closing thoughts from the show and Sylvie in a towel
Wednesday, 27 August 2008, 10:56

ANOTHER INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM has drawn to a close, so it's time for a few final thoughts from some of the INQ hacks who attended the show.

We were so busy making sure we got all the best stories for you guys, we had to shoot this at the last minute so you've caught us as we're winding down on the final night.

So we have Charlie as the last remaining person on desolate show floor, Ian making geek pillow talk with one of his freelance friends and Sylvie in a towel, nicking everything that isn't nailed down.

Oh yes, there's some talk about the last day of the show as well. µ

Mary Branscombe (sp?)

Intelligent lady, who knows whereof she speaks. Any chance we might be seeing items from her in future?

Hmmmm

Things the viewing public didn't need to see:
Half naked news editors with "freelance journalists" in bed on camera. I'm not saying I fast forwarded that bit.... but I did.

don't do this again

Guys stop doing movies you are not good at it!
Even with a slight suggestion of erotic sequence at the end it still sucked!
You are involved in news about IT and hardware so do that.
Get photos interviews don't waste readers time.

Ahhh

I really dislike Charlie and his articles/rants. Never knew he was a typical fat yank though, dislike him even more now!

And Sylvie is rather hot.

Stealing suggestion

Try to steel some clothes next time.
It is much easier to attach the mic on those.

Bravo.

An entertaining clip, didn't bother to go through the previous parts, but it was watchable. Charlie doesn't seem that bad now, Ian was funny enough and Sylvie.. Erm, moar video. She was rather darn hawt.

Rave Revues!

Oh wow! There's just so many things that is yet to be said... Going forwards The INQUIRER coverage is Spot On and continues to be to be reckoned with as the news:
'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' to be remade starring none other than (Shreeks NDA) 3D sunglasses and I have one thing to say and that’s DAAMIT! Say, do any of you guys know how to Madison? Well it WOZ Terrrriffffic!!! I feel completely plastered, but a token shall have to do! It's you lot, I swear, it's you lot! I could have had a quiet life in Calooteville and Metroboonies, Ian and Sylvie - but no Charlie ....it was you! What? "Is at a bird?" "Is at a bat?" You were onto this the whole Evil Genius umpire, that you are. But Ectastacy and all. It was an OWL, and by the big who-o-o-o-o-o-o-oas! I'd say two of them really. David Ottellini has eaten the building and Dave's not here. And why is there no Jamaican Ultimate Geeks for winter sports? And Sylvie, erm well done! I really love the skillful way, You beat the other girls! I would say your best take of all the cake.

delicious

yeah Sylvie is yummy and hot, doh, want more! But intuition is just self-emergent from complexity, you just need a really really high depth of i/o layers in your system, the problem is many mainstream theorists will argue the mind emerges from a neurochemical soup, which would be pretty easy to mimic, no doubt though, those that argue for a quantum state will get the 2060 Nobels, surely the mind involves quark cascades or some type of physics I can not explain, there is obviously some energy transaction that occurs beyond current measure, and this is the mind, there are many examples of this quantum nature, even when there is disruption of neurochemisty affecting episodic memory, one can still have access to holographic/universal memory, you know blah blah yada yada, and what of complex behavior in insects, like ants practicing animal husbandry with a couple milligrams of brain matter, that is more than just large scale peptide transactions, at minumum you have to include ion transactions, again no doubt electrons and exotic particles will see their day come to light in the process of sentience, I mention quarks since as a kid when I heard of their strong fields I thought this could explain certain paranormal phenomena, such as familial communication at distance, twins etc, but when my sister became parapalegic that theory went broke, but then one of my friends in computer engineering explained that the strong quark field acts at great distances in relative terms, so perhaps like a millimiter which in molecular terms is quite vast, so there you have it, a left spinner gains energy becomes right and triggers a right hand cascade in an aggregate cluster [or you know like whatever], this in itself or a complimentary process [plural?] of reception and reaction is the mind, thus the mind can feel the wall of nerve damage but can not jump across the scars, hoowah, so data comes in from neurons and chemical soup, probably we will also find that may signal transmitters we though the same have small diffferentials, anyhoo, large scale transaction, neurons membrane changes, and somehow microtubules or what not in some way store a data chunk, a quantum signal is passed on to the larger global mind, thus a few thousand photons get recognized as an object, whatever, you get the idea lots of transistors, a network that mimics the soup and several that can mimic btw bigger faster synthetic AI has already happened that's what a 'universe in a bottle is' be happy K

The problem with Sylvie is

She hasn't written or said a single thing of substance. Look at her articles--went into a room where Intel was discussing energy efficiency, it was too crowded, so I left. Dadi on a go go! Craig Baratte didn't say anything regarding technology.

Excuse me? She walks into IDF, and doesn't find a single piece of technology to write about?

If hot is what I wanted to watch, there are plenty other sites that are wayyyyy hotter. Get back to technology reporting.

I tried to forward to her in the towel but it wouldn't let me, pah!

That tv looks better than youtube, does it have other content?

Youtube needs to go bigger and better definintion, like your movie.
