Humour website SomethingAwful.com to publish book

World War 2 oddity book expected for 2006

HUMOUR WEBSITE SomethingAwful.com is branching out into books now, it would seem, with the upcoming release of "My Tank is Fight" - a book focusing on the strangest oddities and bizarre inventions that emerged during World War 2.

Zack Parsons will expand on his series of articles with the book, covering inventions such as the "Seeteufel Submarine," a mini submarine with tank treads capable of driving on land or along the bottom of rivers.

The book is expected to be finished sometime around January 2006, and will hopefully be released by October of the same year. The website is here, and the mailing list (which will nab you cheapskates a whole free chapter of the book) can be found here. It won't be for everyone, but for fans of cynical humour or World War 2 it should be a treat. ยต
