Chile in border dispute with Google

Don't cry for me, Argentina
Mon Apr 30 2007, 08:14
SEARCH OUTFIT Google has had representations from the Chilean government visit it after its mapping program gave one of the country's border towns to Argentina.

Villa O'Higgins, a town of about 400 residents near the tip of South America is named after a national hero. O'Higgins was the commander of the military forces who kicked the Spanish out of Chile.

Red-faced Google said that it had got the request and was working to fix the map.

Google spokeswoman Megan Quinn said that it was still trying to get information on the region.

Maybe it should find a good search search engine or contact Argentinian INQhack Fernando Cassia.
