PICTURES believed to be of a Hong-Kong actor nude with several movie stars have appeared on the Interwibble.

The snaps appearing to be of Edison Chen in bed with singer Gillian Chung have caused a bit of a kerfuffle.

Chung's company, Emperor Entertainment Group, initially claimed that the snaps of its 'squeaky-clean star' were fakes.

But Inspector Knacker of the Hong Kong yard revealed that some 1,300 pictures had been stolen a computer which was taken to a shop for repair.

Assistant police commissioner Wong Fook-chuen told hacks that, during the maintenance period, "someone used dishonest means to take some information from the computer and distributed this information indiscriminately to others".

While coppers would not name names, Hong Kong's Ming Pao newspaper reported that the photographs belonged to Edison Chen, 27.

The computer shop was subsequently raided and eight people were arrested.

On his bog, Chen pleads with the wired-up world to stop looking at the pics. "Please stop forwarding the images on the internet, " he writes. "Furthermore, (...) completely rid the images from your computer. This is a small step that each one of us can take to help the innocent rebuild their lives." Ahh.
