ONE COMPANY BREAKING cover at E For All is Uberclok, no C, a maker of factory overclocked gamer PCs. Unlike many of the others out there, it doesn't aim the rigs they make at computer people, just normal gamers wanting bang for the buck.
The point is that unlike most of you reading this, the other 99 per cent of people will never crack open their case, apply exotic cooling, and in general do things to void their warranty. Me, I don't bother with cases for the most part, and I suspect a fair number of you don't either.
Uberclok Reaktor
Uberclok has two models, the low end Ion and the high end Reaktor. The Ion is a $1550 machine with an Intel E4500 running at 3.4GHz and an EVGA 8800 of one type or other clocked up as well. It all runs on an EVGA 650i mobo with Corsair Dominator memory. The Reaktor is the same with a 680i mobo for SLI, a second GPU optional, and either a E6850 @ 3.7GHz or a Q6600 @ 3.4GHz. These start at $2500 and go up from there.
In the end, what you get is an inexpensive part factory clocked up with a guaranty to not blow up. If you are not a geek, you can go to a lan party and get p0wn3d with pride knowing that you have as 31337 a rig as the next guy even if you don't know which end of a screwdriver to hold. Uberclok has an interesting market niche scoped out. µ
