HP lines up AMD quad-core Barcelona servers

All it needs are the chips
Thursday, 7 February 2008, 16:38

HP DOCUMENTS dug up by Cnet show that the Palo Alto ink company plans to ship Proliant DL585 servers chipped with AMD quad-core Opteron Barcelona processors, once AMD gets the "TLB bug" fixed in the Barcelona's B3 stepping.

For its part, AMD claims it's preparing to send out sampling quantities of B3 stepping chips. The excitement mounts.
