HYPERMEMORY cards are actually starting to become a reality even though no one has got one to test. It's the card with 32 MB of real RAM but with ability to address system memory and act like it actually has 128MB or memory.

It will be cheap. It uses two BGA chips clocked at 300MHz while its 130 nanometre core is clocked at sufficient 325MHz. memory is of course 64 bit only but will bring you DirectX 9 four pipelined card for not so much money. You should be able to play major games at lower resolutions with a card that should end up under $59.

The Power Color card X300SE Hypermemory card has S video out, a DVI and VGA port and the whole card is actually fitted on a rather small PCB.

We expect to see those cards ready for CeBIT as we at least know that Sapphire plans to show them off at next week Germany based trade show.

We are still waiting to see the numbers from these cards as we don't know are they actually faster than Nvidia's shipping Geforce 6200 Turbo cache cards or not. We know ATI cards are supposed to end up cheaper. I guess we should learn this soon. If you are interested how this card looks, here is a picture.
