Nvidia to do 3+ way SLI

This one might work too, maybe
Thursday, 1 February 2007, 10:57
WHAT IS THE big news out of Nvidia for CeBIT?

No, not G84 and G86, those are yawners, they are going to be introducing SLI for more than two GPUs.

I know, I know, it did that at least 17 times last year, and in some incarnations it actually worked a bit, if you chose to ignore the rendering errors, crashes and plethora of missing features. Four GPUs and one monitor, what more could you ask for, widescreen?

That will change when it announces three-way SLI with a spiffy marketing name, be still my beating heart. Sources tell us that four-way is also do-able but that is for another day and another press release. The big steps are two and more than two. 4, 7, 23 and more are less of a problem than 3.

This will most likely be introduced at a press day that we are not supposed to know is being planned for late February. We won't be invited to this one either, so no loss, we already know what it is going to talk about. ยต
