Editors go "Rolex" crazy in Red Shanghai

Gutterwatch They all wanted one
Tuesday, 8 June 2004, 21:09
ON THE LAST DAY of the minor event called ACON4 where we were able to cover a small gaming event and also two factory tours to Abit's Rolly factory and Kingston Shanghai's memory factory too, editors of "top" print and online magazines finally showed the world that they are just hacks with an eye for the main chance.

The mercenary gits.

China is the only country where you can buy a "Rolex" for only a few bucks and that's exactly what many of the guttersnipes did.

People bought loads of watches and finished with up to 14 pieces, in one case.

Here is a picture of this very interesting event and one of its incomes and outcomes. We trust the customs authorities in their native countries will charge full duty on these very convincing watches when they arrive back.

No wonder some countries require journalists to have visas. Shortly, I will report the names of the hacks that bought the watches, along with their web sites. ยต
