Killer app for the Wii released

Yep, a light saber game using the Wiimote is in development and prototypes have already amused executives at Lucas Arts.

Apparently when the Wii was released, a light saber game was all most people thought about. Fortunately for them, it also crossed the mind of Lucas Arts which could see Star Wars fans defecting from their other brand consoles for the chance to swing a light saber at Darth Vader, even if the graphics are not as good.

The game will be out in the Autumn, which will mean that Star Wars fans can be duelling in their basements all winter.

At the moment details of the game are fairly light. Lucas Arts is expected to make an announcement at the E3 Media Summit in Los Angeles early next month.
