Iphone patch must be ready
Fri Jul 27 2007, 14:15
THERE IS A bit of a flap at Cappuccino as the bubbly and frothy outfit, Apple, tries to ready a patch for its Iphone flaws before the Black Hat 2007 conference.

Apple has only a week before the conference when various Iphone hacks and vulnerabilities are expected to be made public.

According to Computerworld it would be a coup for Apple if it gets the phone patched in time, particularly as this is the first one for the hardware.

Black Hat Director, Jeff Moss, said the Iphone maker has had "plenty of time" to patch its product.

David Maynor, who discussed but didn't disclose details of problems with wireless cards on the Mac at the last conference, is rumored to be readying a new zero-day Iphone attack.

Maynor told Computerworld he was trying to get his hack ready but there were no guarantees it will be stage-worthy in time. µ
