CHAINTECH'S FORMER EUROPEAN staff have upped and left and started off on their own, it has emerged.

There were "misunderstandings" that caused the European mob to up their stumps and take their bails away, as we say in Bosnian cricket.

Chaintech apparently had something of a fiasco earlier on this year when it flew some important hacks to some tropical island paradise to launch the Hammer.

The problem of course is that AMD postponed this launch too late for the paradise island trip to be withdrawn. So everyone on the trip sipped their Pina Coladas, and gazed at a Chaintech Hammer mobo without a CPU.

The new company Canyon Tech are hoping to fill a gap in the European channels, possibly ploughing the former Chaintech furrow.

CT, for short, will supply products to distribution and the system integrator market with a focus on motherboards, VGA cards, notebooks, monitors, Wireless LAN, USB Flash and USB external storage.

The company will also sell Nvidia cards and we reclon that they will be packed in Canyon T's boxes and the same goes for motherboards we assume.

Who will produce their cards is a mystery wrapped in an enigma in a riddle, a bit like the obscure game of Bosnian cricket. µ
