THQ gets Steamed

Valve bags another biggie
Wed Jul 18 2007, 08:22
VALVE CONTINUES TO roll over traditional game distributors with Steam power, or is that Steam Powered, tenacity. This time, it scooped up THQ, and that is one heck of a company to pick up.

Three of the last four big games that hooked me are now on steam, Supreme Commander, Titan Quest, and Warhammer 40K, the fourth being, sigh Oblivion. These are joined by S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Full Spectrum Warrior and Company of Heroes. These are all pretty huge games, the first three I heartily recommend.

It makes you wonder how much of the gaming world Valve is going to suck up, they already have Capcom and half a dozen other big names signed up. It must be a scary time for traditional distributors. Welcome to the new order. µ
