Bizarre Xbox pictures not faked

Graphics set pulses racing
Mon Jul 04 2005, 08:35
BIZARRE Creations has been getting a bit of stick in the gaming press for its Project Gotham Racing 3 game for Xbox 360.

The screenshot publicity for the game shows cars against a background of New York's mean streets. Reviewers looking at the screen shots insisted that they were too good to be real.

They accused Bizarre of sending them faked screenshots. They decided that the shot must be a photograph that has been spliced into the background.

Bizarre has responded by telling the gaming mags that the screen shot is real and have posted a picture of the wireframe model from the game to prove it.

According to Bit-tech.net, which posted the pictures here, they even added a new screenshot of a different building containing still more detail.

Everyone is now saying that the game graphics must be good. You can't buy publicity like that. µ
