* Reader Brian Terrill writes: From what I understand about the problem, going back to an earlier set of Direct-X drivers can fix this. You might need to go back as far as Direct-X 5. Also, upgrading or installing the VIA 4-in-1 drivers might also fix this problem.
At one time I had a Diamond S540 video card and it was a @#$%^ to work with and get running right. I had to install the 4-in-1 drivers, then Direct-X, and then run GLSetup in order for the card to see 2X AGP. Fortunately I no longer have that board(FIC PA-2013) or vid card anymore.
