Damages sought
Tuesday, 20 February 2007, 10:40
SCOTTS VALLEY firm Virnet X sued Microsoft in a Texas district court, alleging it has breached patents it owns.

The patents are 6,502,135B1, called "Agile Network Protocol for Secure Communications with Assured System Availability", and 6,839,759 B2, dubbed "Method for Establishing Secure Communication Link between Computers of Virtual Private Network without user entering any Cryptographic Information".

Virnet X alleges Microsoft breaches these patents by way of inducement and/or contributory infringement. It would like Microsoft to stop infringing the patents and pay it some money. µ
