Sweet is war to those who have never experienced it - Latin proverb
THOSE LOOKING FOR a cheap way to hook up lots of monitors to their computer now have a new option from one of the top green team partners - EVGA.
The company best known for its extreme overclocking Geforce cards has come out with a new product called Display link, which is basically a box with a USB port to plug into your computer and a DVI port to plug into a monitor. The system allows for connection of four monitors at once which, combined with a pair of dual-output graphics cards, results in... a lot of monitors.
The Display Link comes in two models - the UV12, which goes to 1280x1024 (or 1440x900 widescreen) and the UV16, which goes to 1600x1200 (or 1680x1050 widescreen).
Both models are hyped to come in under $100, which is pretty good value we think. Stay tuned for imminent availability from your e-tailer of choice. ยต
The product is called UV Plus+. The internals are designed by the company DisplayLink.

Are the subs still a bit hungover from the bank holiday? Surely a headline of 'drops' implies that EVGA is stopping selling these boxes.
Sounds nifty.

A cheap secondary monitor for increased productivity with no D-Sub, DIV, HDMI nonsense.
Yeah, but I want to see the video cards that crank out 16 million(?) AA/AF'd pixels of Flight Simulator before I'm convinced it's really that cool....

no really... I'd like to see that
