TWO PEOPLE suspected of running websites that showed the slaying of hostages and gave details of how to make bombs are to face trial in Switzerland.

Moez Garsallaoui and Malika El Aroud, the widow of an al-Qaida suicide bomber, are the first in Switzerland to face a charge of Internet terrorism.

The charges include providing support for a criminal organisation, inciting criminal acts or violence as well as the manufacturing, concealment and transfer of explosives or poisonous gases. The trial will begin on June 20.

Garsallaoui ran websites with discussion forums that were allegedly used by "terrorist groups" to share information, prosecutor's claim.

El Aroud has been charged as a co-defendant for operating a jihadi website. She is the widow of one of the suicide attackers who killed anti-Taliban warlord Ahmed Shah Massoud two days before the September 11, 2001, attacks in the United States. µ
