Via KT400A motherboards reviewed

Hardware roundup

VIA KT400A BOARDS are set to give the Nvidia Nforce 2 boards a run for their money. But is it all hype? Here are two reviews to help you decide. One is of a GA-7VAXP-A Ultra and the other is of a, well, GA-7VAXP-A Ultra. Looks like it's Gigabytes all around.

If you're into Intel processors instead, you could sit around and wait for a Canterwood based motherboard. But there is an alternative. How about an EPoX 4PEA800 845PE? VR-Zone will let you know if it's up to competing with its soon-to-be-released sibling.

Drifting slightly away from Via based motherboards onto Sis chipsets and AMDBoard has the low-down on the new SiS746FX Chipset in the QDI K7S746FX motherboard. Head on over there to find out all of the specs.

Is it hot in here or is it just this old joke wearing thin? Cool down a little with Ninja Lane's look at a Eumax B605-02 heatsink.

It was only announced today but, of course, Hexus was there ready and waiting. The new µATX motherboardfrom Shuttle is very nice indeed.

If you've ever had to sit next to a server for any length of time, you'll appreciate the idea of AcoustiPack. Xtrememods has been stuffing its cases with the stuff. Good for them.

It's big. It's multi-function. And it's a long way from the usual mousemat review. Tweaknews has got a huge new Samsung SCX-5312F Digital Laser Multifunction Printer to play around with. It's not exactly your usual hobbyist type review. But then when was the last time you met a usual type of hobbyist?

Turn on, tune in and veg out. That's what the Prolink PixelView PlayTV PVR is all about. AMD Zone has the details.

If your case is open to the world or full of little windows, there's nothing more embarrassing than ugly cables. DarkVision has just the solution with Antec Cobra IDE and Floppy Cables. µ
