BILL SIU, standing in for Louis Burns, announced the Entertainment PC, a machine for the holiday season using the 915 PCI Express chipsets and Pentium 4s intended for the living room.

Siu said that several of its OEM customers, including HP and Alienware will use the 2004 EPC platform.

It also released a networked media device guideline, version two, which is aimed at transmitting data around what it calls the digital home.

The EPC is supposed to allow people to store and manage media.
