Schwarzenegger goes to Cebit

Intel gives him a lift
Thu Oct 02 2008, 23:56

THE GOVERNATOR, Arnold Schwarzenegger held a party at Intel HQ on Thursday to endorse German IT fest CeBit.

After taking a tour of Chipzilla's 'Cyberdyne' division in Santa Clara, the Terminator proclaimed that the State of California's coffers had been raided in order to buy the label "Cebit Partner State."

In return Schwarzenegger promises Californian businesses a special place in the CeBit spotlight.

The Governator said he felt,"very honoured to be part of this huge expo".

Asked if he really would make an effort to attend CeBit, Arnie said he couldn't promise because, "sometimes crazy things happen in this state, like earthquakes and fires and stuff like that".

He's probably heard the horror stories from the Halle.

Host for the day Intel confirmed that chairman Craig Barrett would be taking part in the opening of the show in Hannover, from March 3-8, 2009. µ
