AMDZONE has posted details about Newisys and their upcoming 1U dual Opteron and 3U quad Opteron boxes. The new AMD-sponsored company is currently showing Opteron-based server boxes at LinuxWorld. Wibble this way.

The site has also posted up 12 pages of coverage from the recent SIGGRAPH 2002 bash in San Antonio. There's more Opteron stuff there, as well as info and pix from ATI, Nvidia, Matrox, Sun, 3DLabs, Intel and others. That's over here.

X-Bit Labs has a posting gleaned from a French hardware site that claims that Pentium 4 processors working at over 3GHz core frequency will be incompatible with the today's Socket478 mainboards. X-Bit's take on the affair is here. And here's the original French posting.

Sticking with the French, there's a look at Via's Eden platform sporting a VIA C3 800 MHz over here. Much better than the 500Mhz version, they say.

Viahardware reviews ATI's Radeon 9000 Pro over here.

And there's a look at a Triplex Millennium Silver GeForce 4 Ti4600, down under here.

Explosive Labs has posted Part 2 of its i845E Roundup with a look at eight leading contenders. That's over here.

SimHQ say they've taken Nvidia's Quadro4 900 XGL for a spin That's over here.

Amdmb.com has a look at Chieftec's AH-01SL Aluminum Midtower Case over here. They reckon its the "best bang for the buck aluminum case you can buy".

There's a look at Antec's 80mm LED case fan for you modders over here at et Canadian Overclockers Club.

Israeli site HWzone.co.il mailed to say they've got four "world exclusive pics" of a Pentium 4-based Xeon running at speed of 2GHz with a very large L2 Cache of 2Mb." You'll probably need a Hebrew plug-in to make any sense of it though (we can't). Try wibbling over here.
