Warner shareholder slams Google deal

We could do a lot better

A BILLIONAIRE Warner shareholder has slammed the new deal between AOL and Google as disastrous and argues that the entertainment giant could do much better.

Carl Icahn said in a letter to Time Warner's board of directors that the company appeared to be on the verge of a "disastrous decision". Icahn's group has a 3.1 per cent stake in Time Warner and he said he feared a Google pact may preclude a merger or other deals with the likes of eBay, Yahoo or Microsoft.
