The Austrians managed to show us some performance difference which was enough for us to again benchmark our SLI rig with two heavily overclocked Gainward Cool FX cards, that review will be with you shortly.
In 3Dmark 05 we managed to score some 600 marks more and in each and every game we tested we averagely increased our performances by roughly 10 frames. This is a big deal, and we believe that our friends at Nvidia held its performance back in previous drivers. This has happened many times before and we already wrote about it here and in the early days of the INQ, here.
We will get you some charts but it's definitely a faster babe. Nvidia did it because it can and to screw ATI's upcoming Radeon X1800XT launch, or to try and steal its thunder.
We expect this driver either shortly before ATI's planned launches or close to that date plus or minus a few days. µ
