AMD sinks and so does Intel

It's an ill wind
Wednesday, 3 January 2007, 14:22
GOLDMAN SACHS downgraded AMD stock today, giving it a "sell" award because analysts think there will be an increase in costs and more price competition from its competitor Intel (INTC).

That sent its share price down after the NYSE opened - it currently stands at $20.35.

But it's an ill wind that also sent down the INTC price to $20.25, a decline of 17 cents. µ
