Consumer Electronics Show 2006

Complete INQUIRER coverage
Thu Jan 05 2006, 21:56
2006 COULD BE the year the geeks' dreams come true.

Those that pay homage, bended, at the booted feet of Pat Gelsinger or those who covet the curves of a Jobsian design or, indeed, those who embrace the spodliness of William Gates III's winderful vision of the future could soon be dancing in their pizza.

For the age is upon us where every consumer device will come sporting a chip. The computer boys always wanted to play ball in the consumer electronics marketplace. This year they arrive in force.

In Las Vegas, the geeks have been strutting around the Consumer Electronics Show like they own the place.

Luckily, raincoat-wearing hacks with INQUIRER business cards stuffed in their titfers have been on hand to record the happenings.
