This chipset will offer all you need but will have a dual PCIe graphics slot to compete with Nforce 4 SLI. As we said before VIA's answer for that is called K8T900PRO.
We reported that Abit already has its board specification on its site. The important thing to know is that this chipset will bring a PCIe 16X slot for graphics and PCIe 1X for expansion cards it will come with DDR-1 not DDR-2 memory. Most of the boards will come with socket 939 while I believe that at least some will offer this marchitecture for socket 754 for cheaper Athlon 64 or Sempron CPUs.
We are still not sure when Nvidia will have its boards in retail but we think the timing should be similar.
We know that Nvidia is very enthusiastic about its new chipsets, especially the SLI version which it believes will give it the lead in graphics performance lead.
The end of this wild year will bring an incredible chipset war just in the AMD market. We will have Via, Nvidia, ATI and possible even SIS and ALI ready with product. It won't be easy to establish its product and sell it unless you are significantly better than the others. µ
