Intel confirms 18th of November server launch

Workstations are NASDAQ
Fri Nov 15 2002, 09:43
YOU GET ONE Intel party out of the way, then another one rolls up.

On the 18th of November, as we've reported here earlier, Intel will roll out 533MHz system bus Xeons, and that also means the arrival of chipsets such as Placer, Plumas 533 and Granola Bay.

Intel describes the launch on the 18th of November as "the largest launch of server and workstation products in company history".

Richard Dracott, the group director of Intel's enterprise platform group, will share the platform with the chief technology architect for the NASDAQ trading floor.

Which apparently extensively deploys Intel based systems. The announcement will be made at 8.30 in the morning Pacific Standard Time.

As we've reported before, the introduction of the chips will necessitate some price adjustments on existing stocks. µ
