Petitioners do battle over BBC Iplayer

Penguins, Appleheads form anti-Volish front

OUR OLD PRIME MINSTER, in his wisdom, set up a petitions site for people with a beef. Presumably, this was so that they could beef away merrily and not even have to darken his doorstep to hand in their bog-rolls full of signatures.

Anyhow, there are currently three petitions on the new PM's website regarding the BBC's Iplayer. The BBC after all is paid for by the tax-payer so it seems reasonable to hassle Golden Brown on the matter.

The biggest petition is the one moaning about the BBC handing the Vole control of the Beeb's broadband output.

That one, according to a source "has been signed by every Mac and Linux user in the country." Yeah, right.

There two others demanding that the Beeb continue with its original plan and deliver the Ivoleplayer now.

They are here and here. ยต
