Athlon 64 939 CPUs to launch at Computex

System Builder Summit 2004

WE'VE BEEN TRACKING where the 939 pin Athlon 64s are during the week we've been here, seeing as motherboards and chipsets exist for the pesky things.

We now understand from an unofficial source that these will launch at the Computex show in Old Taipei, which kicks off at the beginning of June.

Heck, the TAITRA press schedule is probably already cast in stone.

This lacking chip is either something to do with registered memory or else it's a cunning piece of marchitecture that no one really understands the reason for, maybe not even AMD.
