Faulty Stargate opens garage doors again

According to Cleveland.com, the gadget is stored in the Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, home to the North American Aerospace Defence Command, a joint US and Canadian operation set up during the Cold War to monitor Soviet missile and bomber threats. Every geek also knows that the place is home to the Stargate project.

The gadget is supposed to communicate with first responders in the event of a homeland security threat. However for reasons known only to itself, the Air Force decided to use the same radio frequency as that used by automatic garage doors.

Residents are miffed that their doors are switched off when the gear is being tested.

It is not as if the Air Force is unaware of the problem. A number of residents which are close to Air Force bases have suffered from having their garage doors opened and closed for years.

Technically, the Air Force has the right to use the frequency. But it seems that if an evil Goa'uld System Lord invaded, the human race will be trapped inside their garages and unable to repel the threat. µ
