China, West in bi-cameral brain divide

BOFFINS at the Chinese National Academy of Science claim to have discovered that citizens using tonal languages like Mandarin use the right side of their brain more than Westerners.

The People's Daily said non-tonal languages are processed in the left side of the brain, which the boffins believe is the logical wing.

But scientists, being the sceptical lot they are, are increasingly casting doubt on brain bicameralism. So it may all just be a lot of tosh.
