According to Tom Merritt of Cnet, the beast phones home far too much even after it has been installed.
He said that that he had doubts about the whole thing because it requires you to download a proprietary video player, which didn't work properly.
Then the player would not go away, and would launch itself when ever the mood took it. Since there was no preference to stop this happening he removed it from msconfig.
It didn't appear when he rebooted, but tried to connect to the net using a Net-connection process that even msconfig couldn't stop.
He tried to uninstall, but the software wanted him to log into Amazon for some reason. In short it is about as user friendly as a stingray. More here. µ
