India’s Tech Enclave has a review of Gigabyte’s EP45-UD3P, proving there’ll be life in the P45 for a long long time (six months in hardware is a long, long time). Apart from the Ultra Durable and DES techs, this Gigabyte board also has some strong overclocking features, including the Easytune6 app. Shripad thinks this board is pants.
Thermal Right has a full copper Ultra Extreme cooling system on the bench over at Icrontic. This big chunk of metal is called the TRUE 120 (all caps) Copper and weighs an astounding 1.9Kg (4.36lbs) ... without a fan. Xbit got a couple of new LCD screens from Samsung, the very professional-oriented XL24 and XL30. As you’ve already guessed, they are 24- and 30-inch models, LED based and also include a colour calibrator (Eye One). Oleg found them to be very good in reproducing vivid colours, but that doesn’t go as far as colour fidelity, still he thinks they are well-priced enough to be a hit. Read it here.
