if you already pre-ordered the 8800gt 512mb i would suggest sticking with that.. since it will be faster than the 3850 and the 3870..

but also depends on your motherboard really..
do you have crossfire or SLI capable motherboard...

Lovely Liam!
Stay lovely, stick with the 8800, mine's never disappointed me, and it's only a baby 320mb GTS, I've dreamt about that GT in Crisis.
ATi are looking up with their new cards, but unfortunately they're still looking up to nVidia at the moment... especially with that GT's value, it actually beat the GTX in a few tests, do you still feel doubtful?
Due to the fact that we haven't seen any benchmarks with the new 3800 series that can be deemed reliable the question should be, do you want to take a chance? This last ATI series hasn't been the best performing model comparatively. Also, the 3850 is the lower end model of the new ATI cards. If you are really concerned, cancel your order and wait for the 3870 to ship and check the benchmarks. Find out where the price/performance is for both the 8800GT and 3870. This way you know you are getting a good product.
You guys mean dutch..

What about performance compared to Nvidia offerings??

Also ATI drivers really suck lately

The website seems offline. Perhaps to much visitors?
Link doesn't seem to be working anymore. Looks like they've taken it down. Rekon ATi/AMD slapped their wrists?
