Lights chap is one pumpkin short of a party

WE'RE SURE that our astute readers here at the INQ have noticed the increasing trend for outlandish Christmas decorative lights on houses around the festive season.

Now the fetish seems to be extending to the Halloween season too, but one chap has taken his love of lights and interest in the internet a little further than most.

If you log onto Alek's Halloween Webcam you can see an image of Alek's house, lit up in festive glee. Check back at 2000 Mountain time, however, and all hell breaks lose.

Alek has hooked up the lights to an internet-controllable X10 switch, which means you can switch different sections on and off, pan and zoom the webcam, and even illuminate lights to show the world (and presumably Alek's wife) your choice of Presidential candidate - at the moment, the Incredible Hulk leads George Bush.

We always love to see the latest cutting edge technology used to further mankind's progress through the times, the aeons, the ages and the eras. µ
